EXHIBITION
I am very happy to be part of the group exhibition THE ARTIST IS NAKED alongside works by Soufiane Ababri, Eileen Almarales Noy, Kensise Anders, Cassils, John Coplans, Zuzanna Czebatul, Anna Ehrenstein, Valie Export, Zohar Fraiman, Rosie Gibbens, Georg Herold, Claudia Holzinger, Rebecca Horn, Jürgen Klauke, Gerhard Richter, Gustav Seitz, Lars Teichmann, Juergen Teller, Michael Ullrich, Timm Ulrichs, Lilly Urbat, Milena Wojhan and Sonja Yakovleva.
The exhibition the artist is naked at Kunstpalais takes a look at uncovered works from the Erlangen Municipal Collection revolving around body, nudity and artists' self-portraits from the 1960s to the present day. Complemented by selected loans, exciting dialogues about contemporary history, freedoms fought for and ongoing needs are created.
In the 1960s, artists began to use their bodies as a medium, based on the Happening and Fluxus movements. In performances, photography and video art, naked bodies and deliberate provocation were used to seek liberation from social and political constraints and create expressive statements in the context of the civil and human rights movement, women's movement and sexual revolution.
Nowadays, artists still like to use their own bodies as art objects. Sometimes with a great deal of humor, sometimes shocking or even seductive, but always completely uncovered, they provide glimpses of more than just naked facts. After all, the body and nudity are still hot topics and photos of the female breast appear on social media just as scandalous and in need of censorship as they did 60 years ago. The collection exhibition the artist is naked at Kunstpalais tells stories of emancipation, liberation, self-discovery and acceptance.

MAGAZINE
I had the great opportunity to create the visuals for the new issue of the magazine of Bayerische Akademie der Wissenschaften about the present and future of the Bavarian school system.
School is hard, at least it was for me - full of pressure, norms and coolness, insecurities and fear which led to the thing, that I was happy to leave it and never wanted to go back. Thanks to my dear friend Fabian Aigner, who is now arts and sports teacher at Gymnasium Dorfen, the school we graduated from together in 2006, I could shoot the pictures in my old school building. Reconciling is a process - but that grown up Claudia posing in morphsuits, biting in rulers and dressing in her old exercise books helped a lot.
Thank you to Studio Umlaut, which is Friederike Giirst and Christine Rampl, for giving me this opportunity. Thank you to Bayerische Akademie der Wissenschaften for your trust and kindness.
Thank you to Fabian Aigner for helping me take the pictures and giving me the opportunity to render my school sports memories by teaching me the laylap in basketball.
Thank you to his dad and former teacher Peter Aigner and my friend Doominik Thalmeier for modeling so perfectly in morphsuits.
Thank you to Raphael Unger for 3D- printing a stack of books and an apple or me.
Thank you to Johanna Marousek for helping me create the Chess-image and lending me her shoes.
Thank you to Wolfgang Lanzinger, deputy head of Gymnasium Dorfen, for being so open and supporting in creating this series.
