EXHIBITION
With ANTI/KÖRPER, FOTOHOF brings together artistic positions that use the body as a concrete tool to create narratives and images that defy clear categorization in an existing system established by a “dominant view” (of whatever kind).
With Claudia Holzinger, Leon Höllhumer, Kai Kuss, Xenia Lesniewski, Daniel Rajcsanyi, Sophia Süßmilch und Sarah Tasha contemporary artists have been invited to use their respective artistic practices as a strategic means of symbolic and explicit self-assertion, thus resolutely opposing the patriarchal reason that is still with us today from the Enlightenment, with its trail of suffering of the excluded, the split off, the marginalized, the destroyed and the repressed.
The eponymous term “antibody”, which usually refers to proteins produced by the immune system to fight pathogens, symbolizes the idea of resistance and defence in this context. The selected artistic positions discuss social norms, constraints and stereotypes, explore individual and collective identities and look at forms of oppression. They create alternative perspectives on existing value systems, question traditional narratives and thus fulfill a cultural protective function that could find its counterpart in the biological nature of antibodies.
At the same time, the exhibition BIRNBAUM / HARSIEBER by Lillian Birnbaum and Heidi Harsieber will open at FOTOHOF>ARCHIV.

MAGAZINE
I had the great opportunity to create the visuals for the new issue of the magazine of Bayerische Akademie der Wissenschaften about the present and future of the Bavarian school system.
School is hard, at least it was for me - full of pressure, norms and coolness, insecurities and fear which led to the thing, that I was happy to leave it and never wanted to go back. Thanks to my dear friend Fabian Aigner, who is now arts and sports teacher at Gymnasium Dorfen, the school we graduated from together in 2006, I could shoot the pictures in my old school building. Reconciling is a process - but that grown up Claudia posing in morphsuits, biting in rulers and dressing in her old exercise books helped a lot.
Thank you to Studio Umlaut, which is Friederike Giirst and Christine Rampl, for giving me this opportunity. Thank you to Bayerische Akademie der Wissenschaften for your trust and kindness.
Thank you to Fabian Aigner for helping me take the pictures and giving me the opportunity to render my school sports memories by teaching me the laylap in basketball.
Thank you to his dad and former teacher Peter Aigner and my friend Doominik Thalmeier for modeling so perfectly in morphsuits.
Thank you to Raphael Unger for 3D- printing a stack of books and an apple or me.
Thank you to Johanna Marousek for helping me create the Chess-image and lending me her shoes.
Thank you to Wolfgang Lanzinger, deputy head of Gymnasium Dorfen, for being so open and supporting in creating this series.
